American Actor & Voice Over Artist
Born in the UK, my family moved to Los Angeles when I was only 1 year old.
I lived in Redondo Beach, California, until graduating from Long Beach State University.
I've worked extensively on stage (West End, Regional and Europe), film, television, and radio, and voiced many computer games and audio books.
I have a genuine American accent, a UK passport and have been living and working in Britain since 1988.
Not a bad start to the year...
I've just completed filming on
Kingsman: The Great Game,
a prequel set in WW1.
I also recorded the audiobook
A Gift for Dying by M.J. Arlidge.
And you might have just seen me in
Patriot on Amazon,
and Living The Dream on Sky.
OF MICE AND MEN
"Ian Porter as Slim gives a truly touching performance, and it’s a joy to see him in such an intimate space."
"Kerry Max Cook, probably the most harrowing tale of the six, is portrayed beautifully by Ian Porter. His performance adds yet more truth to the words, his delivery is honest and touching."
AUDIBLE BOOK - SPREE
"I’m amazed how one reader can conjure up so many different characters just by changing his tone, accent and intonation. Just as a bad reader can spoil a good book so can a good reader totally enhance the listening experience."
DRIVING MISS DAISY
"Ian Porter brilliantly brings this ensemble together in the guise of Boolie, It’s a joy to experience."
AUDIBLE BOOK - THE PARIAH
"A must listen. Brilliant, well narrated, and a great story. Truly given life by Ian Porter. The setting is perfect and the unfolding story works brilliantly around it."
